Letter: Stand against genocide

I am extremely disappointed so few in Congress have spoken up to defend the rights of an occupied people undergoing one of the worst bombing campaigns in history. And the right needing to be defended is the most fundamental right on Earth: the right to live.

Experts state that the ongoing bombing in Gaza amounts to genocide and forced transfer. Anyone who has a heart doesn’t need a textbook definition.

Anyone with eyes and ears can see the brutality and mass murder going on. The excuse provided by Israel is that they are rooting out Hamas. You don’t maim and slaughter innocent children and women by the thousands and call them simply casualties of war.

Nearly 1.5 million people have been displaced. This is mass murder, ethnic cleansing, and genocide — all presently being supported by the U.S. government.

Please call and write your representatives. Tell them the killing must stop now.
