Letters to the Editor

Letter: Anchorage snowplowing

I just can’t believe all of the letters to the editor whining about snow removal during the big snow storms. It was a record snowfall, people. It wasn’t Dave Bronson’s snowstorm.

You all live in Alaska. And in case you haven’t figured it out, it snows in Alaska. And sometimes it snows a whole lot.

Those employees were working long, long hours to clear the roads. They need a word of gratitude for the work they did, not a whining complaint letter to the editor. And can anybody explain just why it’s all Mayor Bronson’s fault? It just doesn’t make sense to me why Anchorage should have 500 pieces of heavy equipment and 500 employees waiting in the wings for the snow storm of the century. That would take a trainload of tax dollars to fund.
