Letters to the Editor

Letter: Good job, Mary Peltola

I am writing in support of the job Rep. Mary Peltola is doing for the people of Alaska as our representative in the U.S. House. It is to every Alaskan’s advantage that we have a pro-responsible development person in the Democratic caucus in the House. She fought hard for the Willow project and will continue to. She steered money for numerous needed projects in Alaska, totaling billions of dollars, through the Infrastructure Investment Act.

Alaska is a young state with many needs and has a very strategic location in a very dangerous world. We need federal investment and the country needs Alaska to be ready and up to date in communications and infrastructure.

Peltola understands the needs of all Alaskans and that we need our supply chains protected and competitive. She is willing to work with anyone, Republican or Democrat, who has the best interests of Alaska at heart. Her positive energy attracts support from many quarters. All of that will be needed as we build the Alaska of the future.
