The United States of America, since its inception, has had a great role in standing up for democracy against authoritarianism. While far from perfect, we’ve served as a model to many around the world. And through alliances with other democracies, we’ve stood up to tyranny repeatedly. At this point, our alliances, such as NATO, are one of the main things that makes us great.
