Letters to the Editor

Letter: Help me help you

Anchorage people, listen up: Help me help you! If you want me to deliver your Amazon package, pick you up in my Uber, or drop off your food from Uber Eats, then please act like you want it to happen.

That means cleaning the snow off your mailbox if it has the address on it. Make sure your house number is showing. Put on a porch light. Clear a path, open the gate, and just try to act like you want the delivery.

Remember, the only person who knows where you live is you. GPS is not always accurate, and if you’re on the Hillside (or anywhere, really) in Alaska, it may be spotty at best. So no, GPS is not the godsend everyone believes it is. Thank you for your cooperation — I look forward to serving you.
