Letter: What are the chances?

This reminds me of when I’ve gotten into a pattern of staying up too late at night and decide to stay up longer and longer until I “roll over” to the next day. It never works.

But now Congress is on the verge of trying something similar, but it might work. Instead of passing a budget for fiscal year 2023-24 — which ends already in September — they should start now on a budget for 2024-25. That would give them eight months to get their act together. What are the chances?
