Letter: Governor doesn't speak for me

In my mind at least, our governor’s support of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s disregard of the Supreme Court’s decision regarding southern U.S. border obstructions could imply that Alaskans agree with Abbott’s actions. I for one do not and resent any implication that I do.

Gov. Mike Dunleavy does not speak for me. The fact that he is governor does not give him the right to support the disregard of legal decisions on my behalf.

This is still the United States of America, so he is entitled to express his own opinions — but he has no right to include me in that expression.
