The article written by Rick Whitbeck on Monday, Feb. 12 was observant, interesting, and right regarding the natural resources in Alaska and our dependence upon them — as shown during the heavy use of gas in our recent cold snaps. Unfortunately, it also highlighted, through our Legislature’s reaction, that there is indeed mass underfunding of Alaska education.
