Letter: Reinstate Sass

I have some questions: Since when are we not innocent until proven guilty?

Since when is the Iditarod Trail Committee the judge and jury of mushers who have not been charged with crimes? Are they representing the PETA people in an attempt to lose more sponsorship of a popular race? Are they just trying to ruin the career of a great sportsman and musher, Brent Sass?

The trail committee had the good sense to reinstate Eddie Burke Jr. after they found out that his charges were dropped. In the case of Brent Sass, he hasn’t been charged with anything. Some angry women decided to come forward with these alleged claims against Brent Sass. They never went to the police or contacted anyone until later. I look at this pretty much as a revenge move.

I am tired of the Iditarod Trail Committee persecuting Brent Sass like this when he hasn’t been charged or convicted of anything. This is so unfair and unjust. The trail committee should be ashamed of itself and reinstate Brent Sass to the Iditarod.
