Letter: No on propositions

Read Proposition 8, the public restroom bond, carefully. By the wording, it appears to me that the Assembly is trying to trick voters into supporting it. It talks about paying for restrooms throughout the Municipality. What it doesn’t tell the voters is that this bond pays an insane amount of $500,000 each for just 10 bathrooms. Only the Assembly could come up with such an outrageously expensive idea.

As bad as that idea is, it’s even worse that they intentionally tried to deceive voters by leaving out the details. Please vote no on this bond. Concerning the Anchorage School District improvement bonds, how many times do voters have to tell the school district no to replacing Inlet View Elementary School? Adding Inlet View makes this bond an easy “no” vote.
