Letters to the Editor

Poem: Base Sanctimony Allocation

Our once district leader

Has changed her tune

Becoming the paid mouthpiece

For state capitol buffoons

Before, a fierce advocate

For public school funding

She is now complicit

In a terrible plundering

Schools need resources

For strong education

Without such dollars

We fail generations

Read, write and math

Critical thinking

Our kids need such skills

Lest we keep sinking

Into a chaos

Manipulated by power-grabbing ghouls

Who use talk radio

As a substitute for schools

Her stance? Confusing

Her bank account? Quite lit

It has become apparent

Dr. Bishop is a hypocrite
