Poem: School District Blues Again

The school district died last week

And now they’re buried in the rocks

Everybody still talks about how badly

They were shocked.

But me, I expected it to happen,

I knew the governor lost control

and Mike shot it full of holes.

Oh momma, can this really be the end?

‘Cause I’m stuck in my cul-de-sac

And the plows ain’t comin’ again.
