I have been watching the new Apple TV series about Benjamin Franklin. Franklin set sail from Philadelphia on Oct. 26, 1776, for the month-long voyage across the Atlantic to convince France to join the fledgling United States of America in its war against the British. Fortunately, the French came to our aid, which turned the tide of the war. I wonder what Franklin would think of the politicians in Washington, D.C. who are refusing to provide aid to Ukraine in its time of need?
