Letter: Be thankful

People say we should take care of the people we have here instead of letting other people come in from other countries. Now it’s going to the Supreme Court to make it illegal to be homeless.

So why don’t they take care of the people here down on Earth, instead of going in a rocket to the other planets? All that money was spent to go up and see if there’s any life on another planet and they let the people here on Earth starve or freeze to death.

There is plenty of money. The problem could be fixed. Sweden had a good way. Anybody could be homeless within a minute — you have no idea how fast it can happen. But homeless people have a stigma, as people think they’re drunk or on drugs.

I think we should all take care of one another and help each other out, and then we should pray that we never wind up homeless. And then we should be thankful that we were born in the U.S., not in another country where we might have to run to the U.S. for safety.
