Fourth candidate joins GOP primary race for Kenai Peninsula House seat

JUNEAU – A fourth candidate has announced that she's joining the Republican Party primary race for the Kenai Peninsula state House seat held by Rep. Paul Seaton, R-Homer.

Sarah Vance, who became the spokeswoman behind a high-profile city council recall effort in Homer last year, said Tuesday that she's running as a Republican for the seat held by Seaton.

Vance joins Seaton, John Cox and Alaska Board of Fisheries member Robert Ruffner in the Republican Party primary.

Vance ran for City Council in Homer last year, coming in third in a race for two seats.
