Sarah Palin's harasser arrested again for parole violation in Pennsylvania

On Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 21-year-old Shawn Christy -- best known for harassing the lawyers of Alaska's former Governor Sarah Palin -- in McAdoo, Pa. and ordered him to be extradited back to Alaska, according to the Associated Press (via the Seattle PI).

Christy was arrested last year on charges of making threats toward the vice presidential candidate and her Fairbanks-based attorneys. He was sentenced to five years probation in June after he and his father, Craig Christy, plead guilty to making the phone calls and threats to Palin's legal staff.

Christy, according to a Marshals press release (via Central Pa network, CBS 21 News), was transferred from Alaska to the Pennsylvania in mid-July, where he entered a Scranton, Pa. Catholic Social Services Residential Program.

On Wednesday morning, authorities say Christy walked off the community re-entry program campus, where he allegedly verbally abused staff and damaged facility property, without the appropriate approval. He was arrested on violation of his probation at home in the area after giving a brief chase.

Christy's father came to his son's defense, telling CBS 21 News that Christy left the residential program because he had suffered hundreds of bed bug bites.

A U.S. judge has ordered Christy to be detained, pending his removal and transportation back to Alaska where further court proceedings.
