While the weather in Southcentral Alaska has been unseasonably mild this spring, conditions aren't quite right yet for outdoor track and field events.

Thursday's "Mini B" meet was held at The Dome, with a number of events happening simultaneously under the giant inflatable structure.

Familiar names were back for their last year of high school competition, including Dimond's CJ Parker and Bartlett's Taylir Kueter, but for many younger competitors the meet was a chance to try out their skills in a number of new areas.

The Mini B continues on Saturday at the Dome, and the next scheduled high school track and field event is the Big "C" Relays on April 10th & 11th, also at The Dome.
