Jessie Hedge celebrates making Camp Fire Alaska history by being the first person to paddle cardboard boat back to shore without sinking during the 9th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Taku Lake Park in Anchorage. Groups of youth learned how to work as a team in building a boat out of cardboard and good sportsmen as they watched their counselors take the boats out on the water. Trophies (made from recycled materials) were awarded to the first to sink; the last to sink; the most creative boat; the best staff costume and the first to finish the course.
