The South Wolverines ruled the Cook Inlet Conference wrestling championships Saturday at Chugiak High.
South piled up 344.5 points to bury the rest of the field. Eagle River was a distant second with 258.5 points.
Strength in the lower weight classes powered South. The defending state champion Wolverines produced individual champs in three of the lowest four boys' weight classes – Aedyn Concepcion (98 pounds), Simon Keffalos (106) and Jacob Shack (120).
Their other boys champion was 145-pound Weston Martin. In girls competition, Shelby Ottum took the 120-pound title for South.
South will try to defend its state title at the state meet Friday and Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center.
