Boys hoops: Bartlett cruises past Chugiak with second-half surge

Bartlett boys 54, Chugiak 37

The Bartlett Golden Bears pulled away from Chugiak in the second half Friday to claim a 54-37 victory in a Cook Inlet Conference boys basketball game at Bartlett.

Up 29-21 at the half, the Golden Bears got a combined 17 second-half points from Ryan Trailer and Anthony Camacho to widen their lead.

Trailer finished with a game-high 19 points, and Camacho and Sebastian Brown each pitched in 10 for Bartlett. Hunter Harr tossed in 14 points for Chugiak.

Dimond boys 69, West 42

Anthony Parker and Dylan Tufaga sparked the Dimond Lynx in the first half and Nolan Heim carried them in the second half Friday in a 69-42 CIC win over West.

The Lynx led 30-18 at halftime behind eight points apiece from Parker and Tufaga, and then expanded their lead in the second half with five 3-pointers from Heim.

Heim led all scorers with 15 points, Tufaga added 14 and Parker had nine.

West was led by Ayuel Dak's 10 points.

Service boys 59, South 33

Two seniors led Service to a 59-33 victory over South on Senior Night.

Nathan Fromm (21 points) and Dominic Norman (20) paced the Cougars in the CIC boys basketball game at Service.

Service seniors accounted for 56 of the Cougars 59 points.

Parker Johnson supplied 15 points for the Wolverines.

East boys 67, Eagle River 50

Trey Huckabay piled up 22 points to propel East past Eagle River 67-50 in CIC action at Eagle River.

Moses Miller (13 points) and Carson Washburn (11) also contributed for East.

Eagle River was led by Daniel Toribio (14 points) and Aaron Davis (12).
