The Cook Inlet Conference basketball season is two games old, and Bartlett’s Amelia Uhila has enough highlights for a whole season.
Uhila on Friday racked up her second straight triple-double while leading the Golden Bears past Eagle River 67-14. She tallied 21 points, 15 steals and 10 assists.
In other girls games Friday, Dimond edged West 41-36, Chugiak held off South 43-35 and East pummeled Service 64-17.
Bartlett, East and Chugiak also got victories from their boys teams. Bartlett beat Eagle River 56-35 behind D.J. Joseph’s 18 points, East handled Service 70-52 and Dimond slipped past West 62-54. South defeated Chugiak 50-42 in the other game.
In the Dimond-West game, West’s Willie Zamora led all scorers with 21 points and Luke Johnston topped Dimond with 19 points. Zamora and Johnston both drained four 3-pointers.
