Five UAA volleyball players collected postseason accolades Wednesday from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Junior outside hitter Leah Swiss and senior libero Keala Kaio-Perez were among 14 players who earned first-team recognition on the all-conference team.
Casey Davenport, a freshman setter, was named Freshman of the Year, and Tara Melton, a junior middle hitter, was named Newcomer of the Year.
Chrisalyn Johnson, a junior outside hitter, received honorable mention recognition.
The Seawolves begin postseason play next week at the West Region tournament in Riverside, California, with a Thursday afternoon match against GNAC champion Western Washington. The Vikings are led by GNAC player of the year Abby Phelps and coach of the year Diane Flick-Williams.
