Hattenburg Dilley & Linnell announces news about six employees

Wesley Oistad, PE has achieved his Professional Engineering License in Civil Engineering while pursuing his career as a team member of HDL. Wesley is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He has over nine years of combined construction, construction administration, and civil project design experience while performing the duties of a laborer, inspector, designer, and project management team member.

Nick Oliveira, PE has been a part of HDL's Anchorage engineering team for 5 years and recently received his Professional Engineering License in Civil Engineering. He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Nick is a roadway designer with over 5 years of roadway design experience leading design teams on projects throughout the Anchorage Bowl. His design experience includes the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, and Matanuska-Susitna Borough projects.

Angela M. Smith, PE has joined HDL as a Senior Aviation Engineer. Angela has over 13 years of experience providing engineering, planning, and environmental services on numerous critical and challenging aviation projects throughout Alaska. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining HDL, she was an aviation design squad leader with the State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF).

Casey Witt, PE, PLS recently joined HDL as a Civil Engineer for the firm's Palmer Office. Casey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Portland State University and is licensed as a Professional Civil Engineer (AK, WA) and Professional Land Surveyor (WA). Casey has over 12 years of experience designing roads, public utilities, hydrology projects, and surveying in Alaska and Washington. His project experience includes Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Matanuska Electric Association, Clark Public Utilities, and Longview Timber LLC.

Doug P. Simon, PE has joined HDL as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the firm's Anchorage Office. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Geological Engineering with a double major in Geology. Doug has 12 years experience on geotechnical, geologic, and hydrogeology challenges for transportation, mining and development projects. In addition, Doug has significant experience in geotechnical instrumentation. Doug will manage the firm's geotechnical engineering group.

Shawn Hull, PE recently joined HDL as a Civil Engineer for the firm's Palmer Office. Shawn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska - Anchorage and is a licensed professional civil engineer. Shawn is a roadway designer with over 14 years of highway design experience leading design teams on multi-million dollar projects in Alaska and Washington. His project experience includes Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, United States Forest Service, and the City of Anacortes and Snohomish County within Washington State.
