Each of the four consolation group teams has one game remaining in its season, having already been eliminated from contention for one of the CIC's two berths in the state tournament. On Saturday, Eagle River will play Bartlett and West will face East at Mulcahy.

Each CIC team will play 10 league games – seven during the regular season and three during this week's playoffs. Thursday's championship group pool-play games have much greater postseason implications, with Chugiak (6-1) facing Service (4-3) at 4:30 p.m. and South (6-1) taking on rival Dimond (4-3) at 7 p.m. at Mulcahy. Both the Mustangs and Wolverines can clinch a spot in the top two with wins while the Cougars and Lynx need victories to keep their playoff hopes alive.
