Muzzling those who fill the airwaves with misinformation would violate their right to free speech. But it would be perfectly legal to enact a statute making them liable when their followers act on their misinformation in ways that cause injury to others.

Ray Metcalfe

Ray Metcalfe lives in Anchorage. He was first elected to the Legislature in 1978, and again in 1980. He owns Metcalfe Commercial Real Estate Inc. and runs a small nonprofit that investigates and exposes public corruption.
