Jewel Kilcher performs at Salmonfest on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, in Ninilchik. Jewel grew up in Homer and invited her father, brother, son, aunt, friends Steve Poltz and Zac Brown to play on stage with her.
"I want to say thank you to Alaska," said Jewel. "Alaska made me the woman that I am. It taught me to be strong, resourceful, resilient, gritty and to listen. … I am so thankful that it made me the person that I am and songs are just a part of that. Thank you, Alaska."
