Actor and musician Jack Black made an appearance on Saturday night in Anchorage at a fundraiser gala for the Alaska Sealife Center. Black was one of the emcees, said Natasha Price, who attended the gala.
"He was so enthusiastic and energetic," she said.
Black has a relative who is connected to the center, she said. He donated to the gala and then asked others to do the same. A table volunteered, Price said.
"And he like dashes over to that table, he had a little bag of gold confetti and he was like throwing it in the air," she said. "He was throwing confetti at every person who contributed and it was pretty great."
And then he took lots of selfies, she said, and the selfies took over Anchorage social feeds. Here are a few:
