Small plane makes emergency landing on Glenn Highway near Eklutna

A small plane made an emergency landing Friday evening in the southbound lanes of the Glenn Highway near the Palmer Hay Flats just north of Eklutna.

An Anchorage Police Department dispatcher said no injuries were reported.

Several police cars were on the scene where the blue-and-white plane sat parked alongside the highway at around 8:30 p.m., but there were no lane closures or traffic delays.

According to an online database, the plane is a Maule M-4 220, a fixed-wing, propeller driven plane built in 1973.
