Police hunting man who robbed Russian Jack bank

Anchorage police and the FBI are still looking today for a man they say robbed a Russian Jack bank Monday.

The man walked into a Wells Fargo bank on DeBarr Road near Boniface Parkway, demanded money from a teller, and fled on foot, according to the FBI. He made no threat of violence and did not display a weapon, FBI special agent Eric Gonzalez said.

He's described as a white male, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with a slender build and about 150 pounds. He looked to be in his mid-30s and was wearing a green and black jacket, a light-colored baseball cap with the letter "A" on the front, which might have been a Colorado Avalanche logo, Gonzalez said.

"He wore these pretty distinctive gloves, they were yellow gloves with dark-colored palms," Gonzalez said. "Kind of two-tone."

The suspect also had a full goatee, Gonzalez said.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the FBI at 276-4441 or the Anchorage Police Department at 786-8500.
