Anchorage police announced Saturday that Randall Igou, previously described as a "person of interest" in the Aurora Paint Co. killing, has been charged with murder.
Igou faces charges of first- and second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to police spokesman MJ Thim.
Early Tuesday, police identified 27-year-old Igou as a person of interest tied to the discovery of Gregory Gill's body in the Midtown business. Igou was jailed after being charged with the theft of Gill's vehicle outside Aurora, but not the killing.

Investigators determined that the shooting happened around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, according to Thim.
"Igou entered the business, shot Gregory Gill, and stole the business's cash box along with Gill's white 2006 Kia Optima," Thim said.
An employee arriving for work the next day discovered Gill's body behind the front counter and called 911. Police said Saturday that Gill, 65, was shot in the head.
Investigators have found no indication that Igou had connections to the business or the victim, Thim said. They believe the incident was a robbery, he said.
Family previously told Alaska Dispatch News that Gill was a lifelong Anchorage resident who had a large, extended family with deep roots in Alaska.
Officers searching for the stolen vehicle Monday were led to an East Anchorage neighborhood. The driver of the Kia, later identified as Igou, ran from police in the car and on foot, eventually jumping into Cheney Lake during his attempted escape, according to the original charges that included vehicle theft.
After Igou's arrest, police discovered the missing cash box from Aurora in the trunk of the Kia, Thim said.
Surveillance video from the area of the shooting and the public helped with the investigation, Thim said.
"The video helped pinpoint Igou to the scene and when the shooting happened," Thim said.
