Anchorage man charged in Houston homicide

Alaska State Troopers arrested Justin Brunsvold, 37, Saturday and charged him with homicide in connection to the death of Patrick McMullen, 32, whose body was found by the Parks Highway earlier this month, according to a trooper release.

McMullen's body was discovered Nov. 2 on an ATV trail not far from his car, which was parked at a pull-out at Mile 59 in Houston, troopers said. The manner of death was not released. McMullen was from Wasilla, according to troopers.

Brunsvold, who is from Anchorage, is being held at Mat-Su Pretrial on $100,000 bail, troopers said. In 2011, Brunsvold pleaded guilty to possessing more than 25 marijuana plants, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
