Anchorage police search for suspect in Friday killing

The Anchorage Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in a homicide investigation.

Samson Costigan, 39, is believed to be armed and dangerous, police said in a written statement.

"Do not approach him," police said.

Costigan is a suspect in the killing of Jacob Stough. Stough, 28, was found Friday evening dead in a car that was blocking traffic in the 8900 block of Dewberry Street, police said. He had been shot in the upper body.

Police believe that the killing was a targeted, drug-related crime.

Anyone with information about Costigan's whereabouts is asked to 911 "immediately" or to submit an anonymous tip via Anchorage Crime Stoppers online or at (907) 561-7867.
