A woman was shot in the upper body late Sunday in the parking lot of the Black Angus Inn, police say.
Dispatchers got a report of shots fired in the 1400 block of Gambell Street just before 11 p.m., according to an Anchorage Police Department update posted Monday morning. Police found evidence of a shooting in the Fairview motel’s parking lot.
Officers found the woman nearby, at 15th Avenue and Denali Street, but determined she was at the Black Angus at the time of the shooting.
The woman went to the hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening, police said.
They had no suspects or suspect descriptions. Anyone with information, including surveillance video, is asked to call Dispatch at 311 (Option 1) or Crime Stoppers at 907-561-STOP to remain anonymous.
A man died of an assault at the motel this month. A man was shot in the Black Angus parking lot in September.
