2 teens charged after shooting in East Anchorage leaves 1 dead, 4 wounded

Two teenagers were in custody Thursday after gunfire in East Anchorage early Wednesday killed one man and injured several other people.

London Mena, 16, and Dominiq Seeman, 17, will be tried as adults on murder charges, police said.

Police identified 19-year-old Khirey King Pruitt as the man who was killed.

The shooting was the result of a fight that broke out during a large party in an apartment in the 200 block of McCarrey Street around 1:20 a.m., police wrote in an online alert.

“At some point, an altercation occurred between a group of people. As a result of the altercation, multiple shots were fired by multiple people,” wrote police.

Five people were found with gunshot wounds -- two men and three women. One man died at the scene and the rest were transported to hospitals.

Additional arrests and charges are possible as the investigation continues, police said.
