Police seek possible suspect vehicle in hit-and-run on woman lying in Midtown Anchorage street

Anchorage police are looking for a possible suspect vehicle in a June hit-and-run on a woman lying on a Midtown street.

Officers are looking for a dark blue or black Chevrolet Impala, model years 2014-20, possibly involved in the June 17 incident on West 27th Avenue at Blueberry Road about 2:15 a.m., police said in an online alert.

“Initial indications are that a vehicle was traveling east on 27th when it collided with an adult female who was already lying in the roadway,” police said at the time.

Police have not released the name of the victim, who they said suffered life-threatening injuries, or specified why she was lying in the street.

Anyone with information on the incident or video surveillance footage of the area is asked to contact police dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or online anonymously at www.AnchorageCrimeStoppers.com.
