Watch black bear cubs frolic at an Anchorage golf course

Three black bear cubs brightened the afternoon of an Anchorage golfer this weekend.

Trevor Stefan, who took a video of the bears playing on Saturday afternoon at Moose Run Golf Course, said he's seen bears at the Arctic Valley course many times.

"I've never seen them playing around like that before," Stefan said. "It was pretty funny."

Stefan saw the bears at the first hole, then ran into them again at hole No. 7 of the Creek Course.

Stefan decided it was time to leave after one of the cubs ran toward him, he said.

Trevor's mother, Alissa Stefan, said that Trevor was born and raised in Alaska but was now living out of state. He had come back to Alaska for her father's memorial service on Tuesday, Stefan said.

"As sad as this all is, it was such a blessing and wonderful experience with the bears yesterday. My dad was a true outdoorsman and we knew he was watching down on Trevor yesterday," Stefan wrote in a Facebook message.
