Bath & Body Works and Lululemon Athletica will open stores this summer in Anchorage.
The two retailers are moving into the 5th Avenue Mall downtown. Bath & Body Works, which specializes in bath products and home fragrances, will open its first Alaska store in May. According to a press release from the mall, Lululemon will open "later this summer."
Lululemon Athletica is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based chain known for its yoga wear. According to the release, the store will occupy about 3,200 square feet of space on the second level of the mall. The brand currently has a small Anchorage "showroom" in West Anchorage.
Also making its way to the mall is Journeys Kidz, a sister store of the shoe and apparel retailer Journeys, which already has a spot at the 5th Avenue Mall. That shop will move to a different floor to make room for the children's store, according to the release.
Across town, Ulta Beauty opened Friday at Tikahtnu Commons. The chain sells cosmetics and other beauty supplies, operating 765 retail stores across 47 states. A Nordstrom Rack is being installed in the Mall at Sears in Midtown; it's scheduled to open this fall.
