6 things to do in Anchorage this weekend

We’ve reached February and accompanying subzero temperatures. So if you’re sick of the cold, there are plenty of indoor options for entertainment and activity this weekend, including a two-day beer and barley wine festival and a number of fundraising events. But if you’re feeling enthusiastic about slightly warmer conditions starting Sunday, the annual Ski for Women is happening at Kincaid Park. Here’s a look at some of the highlights.

More than 65 of the region’s breweries will offer samples of pale ales, stouts, pilsners, porters, specialty brews, barley wines and Belgian ales. Friday’s entertainment is The Stack. Saturday’s early session is Nothin’ But Trouble, and DJ Spencer Lee will close out the evening session. Tickets are $75 per session, with VIP tickets available for $125 and designated-driver tickets for $10.
