Paula Abdul to perform in Anchorage in September

Grammy Award winning performer Paula Abdul is set to perform in Alaska in the fall.

The singer-dancer is scheduled to play Alaska Airlines Center on Sept. 21.

Abdul exploded on the scene in 1988 with her debut album “Forever Your Girl.” The record included four No. 1 hits: “Forever Your Girl,” “Cold Hearted,” “Opposites Attract” and “Straight Up,” setting a record for most top hits in a debut.

In total Abdul sold more than 60 million records and earned a pair of Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards and an assortment of other awards.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
