Education is an economic issue, and Alaska’s failure to predictably and timely fund this constitutional responsibility is undercutting our economic growth and strength.
We must be vigilant to not be penny-wise and pound-foolish, harming our future generations and the future of our state for short-term savings.
OPINION: The Ketchikan education funding lawsuit deserves a hearing before the Supreme Court. But while the court considers its merits, school districts deserve some financial certainty.
