I would like to echo Adam McCullough’s support for Sen. Lisa Murkowski in his response to Sheryl Nelson’s letter, “So long, Murkowski,” published Jan. 20. Sen. Murkowski is a true Republican, and was long before the radical and extreme elements of the party took the hard right turn into chaos. Starting with the Tea Party, these elements have begun the systematic shredding of the very fabric of our Constitution and tearing the heart out of our country.
I have not always voted for her, nor supported her political views. But I will tell anyone, Sen. Murkowski will have the financial and political support of both my wife and I as long as she has the courage and conviction to stand up against the political ugliness of the those elements currently in control of the Republican Party. I will step up and fill the void left by Ms. Nelson in her abandonment of Sen. Murkowski.
