Letter: Public education’s value

Highest compliments to Marion Vicary for her excellent commentary titled “Public schools should be supported, not undercut,” which appeared in May 16 issue of the ADN. She succinctly explained the advantages of public education over the all-too-often higgledy-piggledy approach taken by home-schoolers. I remember working in an office where a homeschooled person was tasked with filing paperwork. As we discovered, she didn’t know or understand alphabetical order. Wow!
