The Jack Morris letter to the editor that appeared in the March 26 edition of the ADN was accurate as far as it went. Unfortunately, he did not complete his thought. A consequence of our two-party system is that sometimes a voter has to vote for “the least bad” because voting for someone other than the two front-runners is a wasted vote and the voter will accept either of the two selected by others. This regrettable fact is addressed nicely with ranked-choice voting.
