House Speaker Mike Johnson went to New York on May 14 to show support for Donald Trump. Trump is on trial for falsifying financial records to cover up bribes paid to a porn star and former Playboy model in 2016 to cover up Trump’s sexual encounters with these women, as well as the misuse of political campaign funds to do so.
Speaker Johnson then spoke to reporters, echoing the same lies Trump has been telling about this trial for weeks, before scurrying off without taking questions. So Speaker Johnson confirms what we should already know: The Republican Party no longer holds any claim to the slogan “the party of law and order.”
They have become anti-Republicans in support of their criminal leader. This November, vote.
