Many people seem to be looking at November’s presidential election as a referendum on Donald Trump’s sanity. I think such people got it all wrong. Everyone already knows that Trump is a wingnut, and this November’s election will be a referendum on the sanity of the American voters.
If the voters put Trump back into office this fall, he will proceed to trash this country — and his supporters will love it. If that’s not insanity, then I don’t know what is.
