Share your voter priorities and Alaska election questions in listening sessions this month

With a new voting system this year, plus a full slate of high-profile offices and a constitutional convention question on the November ballot, there’s a lot for Alaska voters to take in this election cycle.

The Anchorage Daily News is collaborating with Alaska Public Media and other Alaska news organizations to produce elections coverage that’s driven by voters and and centered around your needs. As part of that effort, you’re invited to participate in listening sessions this month, happening virtually and in-person around Anchorage.

The sessions will include brief discussions about ranked choice voting and the ballot question on a constitutional convention, plus small-group talks about voters’ priorities, needs and concerns. These listening sessions are also an opportunity to meet local journalists and other community members. We’d like to know: What questions do you have about elections in Alaska? What issues matter the most to you? How can we best serve your needs and interests?

To attend a virtual session, you must register on Zoom. For in-person sessions, RSVPs are recommended but not required. Dinner and activities for children will be provided at the in-person sessions. All sessions are free to attend.
