UPDATE: Police say possible kidnapping victim has been located

UPDATE (2:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17): Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim said Friday afternoon that Scott has been located and was with APD detectives. Thim said he had no further updates.

Police on Friday were looking for a 28-year-old woman they said might have been kidnapped in Eagle River.

According to Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim, police were called to a report of an assault in an apartment above Tips Bar along the Old Glenn Highway at around 7:55 a.m.

“The preliminary investigation found that an adult male was assaulted in an apartment and a female friend may have left involuntarily with the suspect or suspects,” APD said in a statement.

Arielle Scott is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Police said they believe the case to be an isolated incident.
