Doubles tennis champs meet in singles final

Paul Hemry and Aaron Haines teamed to win the doubles championship on Wednesday at the Red Robin Grand Prix Tennis Championships at The Alaska Club North. They also won each of their semifinal singles matches, earning a finals match against each other on Thursday.

Hemry defeated Rendell Burghart and Haines defeated Jake Oberg, with both matches ending in straight sets to set up the showdown in the finals.

As a team, Hemry and Haines knocked off Oberg and Jimmy Kayongo in three sets, to claim the doubles title.

In the women's semifinals, Taab Louhabanjong beat Mallery Cox in straight sets, advancing to Thursday's final against Whitney Williams, who won her spot by beating Bonnie Hemry in straight sets.

Williams also paired with Trena Rairdon in the doubles final, winning in straight sets over Cox and Jessica Haines.
