Jasmine Ashby led South with 10 points and the Wolverines defeated host Anchorage Christian 46-36 Saturday in a nonconference girls basketball game at ACS. ACS's Dallas Dickerson led all scorers with 16 points, but a 28-point second half by South was too much for the Lions to overcome.
Palmer 42, Soldotna 37
Kendal Vanzke scored six of her team-high 12 points in the first period Saturday to help Palmer beat Soldotna 42-37 in Palmer.
Soldotna's Kaillee Skjold led all scorers with 16 points. She scored eight of Soldotna's 10 fourth-quarter points.
