Dolejsi's 141 paces the field in golf tournament

Marcus Dolejsi fired rounds of 71 and 70 Friday to claim medalist honors and lead a pack of 16 men who qualified for today's match play competition at the state match play tournament at Eagleglen Golf Course. Dolejsi's 141 total was three strokes lower than the scores of Ed Gohr, Paul Blanche and Greg Sanders, who tied for second place and also advanced to today's match play.

In the women's division, 17-year-old Rynae Baca carded a 73 to edge Terri McAngus by a single stroke for medalist honors. Those two are among four who will play today.

In the senior division for men over 55, Bill Iverson and Peter Hakes each shot 74s, but Iverson took medalist honors based on the men's scores on the back nine at Eagleglen. Iverson and Hakes are among eight seniors playing today.

Play begins at 9 a.m. when the women tee off. Seniors go next, followed by the men at 11 a.m.
